The Wheelchair Foundation is a non-profit organization leading an international effort to give the free gift of a new wheelchair to every man, woman, teen and child in the world who needs one, but cannot afford to purchase one themselves, or don't have insurance coverage.

Founded in April 2000, the Wheelchair Foundation has already delivered, or in the process of delivering over 200,000 to needy people in 110 countries-including the good old USA. Headquartered in Danville, California with several regional offices throughout the US, and more recently in Australia and Canada, the Eastern Regional office, located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, was the first office established outside of the headquarter office.

As a longtime friend of Wheelchair Foundation's founder Mr. Ken Behring, Jack Drury was asked to join in this monumental undertaking, as President of this Regional office. With extensive background in advertising and public relations it seemed the natural fit to help get the news out about the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the Wheelchair Foundation.

Assisting Jack in the Florida office is Mr. Alan Yott who is primarily involved in the delivery of wheelchairs to various locations throughout the US and the Caribbean. Mr. Yott is also available for presentations to local Rotaries and organizations.

COMMITMENT

Through the efforts of working with organizations such as Rotary all over the world, the LDS Church, Sister Cities International and other partners, the Wheelchair Foundation has delivered over 200,000 wheelchairs to needy people in 110 countries.

Additionally, wheelchairs have been distributed through hospitals, churches, nursing homes and various agencies such as Centers for Independent Living and Salvation Army, right here in the United States.
